Since 1991, Swayamkrushi (Reg. No. 3608/1991) has been a pioneer in rehabilitating and integrating adults with intellectual disabilities β spearheading India's Group Homes concept and the movement for inclusion across Telangana and beyond.
We exist to ensure that persons with intellectual disabilities are never defined by their limitations β but by their potential, dignity, and right to a fulfilling life.
To house and train Persons with Intellectual Disability before facilitating their employment and independent living within the community.
To build a society in which the less fortunate persons live with dignity, pride and as productive members of the society.
Placing individuals in Group Homes with 8 trainees each, managed by a resident staff member β combining residential support, therapy, vocational training, and community integration.
Every decision, programme, and interaction is guided by deep compassion and genuine care for the individuals we serve.
We nurture the whole person β intellectual, emotional, social, and vocational β because growth is multidimensional.
Every individual is treated with the highest dignity, their personhood acknowledged and celebrated at every step.
We work to build bridges between our community and broader society, fostering genuine inclusion at every level.
We maintain transparency with our stakeholders, families, and donors β publishing annual reports and regular updates.
Continuously improving our methods, programmes, and facilities to deliver the best possible outcomes.
Mrs. Manjulaa Kalyaan established Swayamkrushi (Reg. No. 3608/1991) in Secunderabad β the only institution of its kind in the country at the time β pioneering the Group Homes concept for adults with intellectual disabilities.
