Over three decades of dedication, Mrs. Manjulaa Kalyaan and Swayamkrushi have been honoured at every level — national, state, and international — for transforming lives with compassion and conviction.
On 3rd December 2002, the Government of India — through the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment — conferred the National Award for the Welfare of People with Disabilities upon Swayamkrushi, Secunderabad. This award was personally presented by President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in recognition of Swayamkrushi's outstanding performance in the field of welfare of persons with disabilities.

Presented at CLAPS Chennai on 25th January 2023 — the 30th Annual Charity & Awards Nite of the Tamilnad Kidney Research Foundation. The citation reads: "In presenting this citation we applaud your Spirit of Dedication and Compassion… in working to spread awareness and tirelessly working for the welfare of persons with intellectual disabilities. You have devoted yourself to this service for over 40 years through your organisation Swayamkrushi."
The Government of Telangana's Women Development and Child Welfare Department and Department of Language and Culture presented the "Woman Achiever Award 2020" to Ms. Manjulaa Kalyaan (Director of Swayamkrushi) on 8th March 2020 — International Women's Day — at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad, in recognition of her outstanding contribution in the field of Service to Children with Special Needs.
Ms. Manjulaa Kalyaan was awarded the "Naari Shakthi Puraskar" for rendering selfless and passionate services towards "empowering women with intellectual disabilities" for the past 50 years. This award was conferred at NIVEDITHAM-2019 organised at Tagore Auditorium, Osmania University, Hyderabad on 29th December 2019.
Presented on 3rd December 2018 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi — the National Award for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) 2018. Mrs. Manjulaa Kalyaan received this prestigious national honour directly from the Vice President of India, Shri Venkaiah Naidu, in recognition of her lifelong contribution to the field of intellectual disability.
The Evaluation Board of the Indian Virtual University — Registered under NITI Aayog, Government of India, and accredited by the India Accreditation Council — conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Special Education (MR), Honoris Causa, with specialisation in "Empowering People with Intellectual Disabilities" upon Manjulaa Kalyan on 27th August 2016.
Team Shakti presented Swayamkrushi with Special Recognition on 4th May 2014 "in appreciation and recognition of your dedication and outstanding community service." An international acknowledgement of Swayamkrushi's impact reaching far beyond Telangana's borders.
Presented on 1st March 2014 to Ms. Manjulaa Kalyaan, Director, Swayamkrushi — for her outstanding and pioneering efforts in establishing Swayamkrushi in 1991 and for her outstanding contribution in the field of Neuro Developmental Disabilities. Swayamkrushi's path-breaking "Group Homes" concept in India is recognised for its visionary impact.
The Secunderabad Metropolitan Ladies Circle 49 (Member — Ladies Circle India) recognised the remarkable contribution made by Ms. Manjula Kalyan of Swayamkrushi in the field of Special Education. Presented on 5th September 2012 by the Chairperson of SMLC 49 (2012–13).
Presented on 4th March 2006 to Smt. Manjula Kalyan in recognition of her exemplary dedication and commitment towards providing facilities and training for mentally challenged children. Signed by the Chairman of SMART 118 and the Chairperson of Secunderabad Metropolitan Ladies Circle 49.
Certified by The National Trust for the Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities on 20th August 2005. Manjula Kalyan completed a Training Workshop on Fund Raising and Resource Mobilization at the Spastics Society of Tamilnadu, Taramani, Chennai.
Awarded by Manava Seva Dharma Samvardhani — a Charitable Trust for Promotion of Social Service Consciousness — in deep appreciation of Ms. Manjula Kalyan's outstanding and pioneering efforts in establishing Swayamkrushi in 1991 in Secunderabad, dedicated to the rehabilitation and integration of adults with developmental disabilities.
Presented jointly to Swayamkrushi and its founder Mrs. Manjula Kalyan on 19th November 2000, in recognition of outstanding and dedicated Medical, Health and other voluntary services rendered to mentally challenged persons — aiming to help them lead an independent life within the community.
